Art in the Park is a series of small community events geared for families with children in grades K-5. Located in Pawtucket, Central Falls, and Providence public parks, it is free to attend and all supplies are provided.
Each one-hour session starts with a Mindful Moment, where we use our breath and intention to focus on the present, then have a read-aloud illustrated story time, a guided discussion of social-emotional learning lessons, and do a related arts and crafts project for your proud artist to take home. We close the session with self reflections, positive affirmations, a one-minute dance party or parade, and group cleanup.
Engage your young artist in art, reading, and collaborative discussions about social and emotional learning lessons and build their self-confidence, emotional intelligence, empathy, and mindfulness.
Walk-in are welcome, but registration is appreciated. Please register for each date individually and be sure to arrive 15-30 minutes early to sign-in and get settled.
